A direct rival to the Nintendo Gameboy, the Sega Game Gear was an 8 Bit handheld console offering a colour screen and stereo (through headphones) sound. Similar in technical specification to the Sega Master System, around 8.5 million Sega Game Gear units were sold, making it much less popular than the Nintendo Gameboy. Over 250 titles were released, meaning we now have over 650 Sega Game Gear Roms online for download. Popular titles included Sonic The Hedgehog and Mortal Kombat.
